J award availability to HKG

Is it just me or is availability to HKG almost impossible in October/November? Iím looking ex SYD and have tried 1 adult, one ways (and for comedyís sake 2 adults and 2 children).

Not like their loads have been great so they can restrict availability...

Of course any seat is available for inflated points...

Do you see any days on the schedule?

I know there was a time when VA said you had to call to book J awards on this route. Not sure if that ever changed.

You just looked for dates in Oct/Nov. Do you see availability elsewhere? Try directly from MEL to make sure you are just looking at the HKG flights.

If it seems totally zeroed out, I recommend calling.

Loads have exceeded their expectations, which is why they went daily so quickly. HX might be a good alternative, often better if using cash.

When i was looking to upgrade this sector everything was 0 and i was 355 days out.

Eventually i booked and called and got put on the waitlist but within 24 hours revenue management approved the waitlist and i was confirmed for upgrade on points.

Apparently Virgin is supposed to be putting it online but i never saw any availability.

I would suggest you to wait until Virgin start selling SYD-HKG direct then perhaps you can book your redemption ticket?

I can see some dates in late June/early July shows availability for I class tickets.
