Adding Velocity FF number to HA booking
 

Hi everyone,

I was wondering whether anyone had successfully managed to add a velocity FF number to a HA booking on the HA website? It only gives me the option to add a HA number, not a Velocity/other number.

I called the contact centre but the lady said she didn't think it was possible and said the best she could do is put the FF number in the relevant field in her system which was meant for HA FF numbers only but she advised me that I most likely will have to put in a claim with Velocity afterwards (not impressed).

Is there a better option?

When I flew HA I'm pretty sure they had my number attached to the booking somehow. I still had to put in a retro points claim though.

(I seem to have to do this about two thirds of the time when I fly a VA partner, it's frustrating...)

I'd get the call centre to stick it in somewhere and hope for the best. ("Stick it in somewhere and hope for the best" is a good general principle, I find.)

Ta, that's what I guessed. Thanks for the feedback. The lady in the call centre stuck my number into the HA slot and under manage my booking it now shows "do you have a HA miles number?" YES, then my FF is underneath.

As long as the retro claim isn't as painful as Etihad retro claims...
