That's the seat that Cathay Pacific use, right? If true, that's a great choice - one of the best international business class seats out there (and we'll get it for domestic - we're spoiled here in Australia!)

No, it's NOT the Zodiac Cirrus!

And that's why I suggested a few days ago that it was premature to be saying that VA's new business class would be Cirrus.

It's good to see competition alive and kicking again in Australia. My only worry is about how much QF and VA are prepared to bleed to introduce all these improvements as this makes the Australian domestic offering arguably the best in the world again.

I hear you, and I've often pondered the same thing.

The next-gen Qantas and Virgin Australia business class seats are superb truly world-class but is this becoming an airline arms race that we can ill-afford?

Okay, a bit of a brag shot, but I did get 'up close and premium' on a photo-tour of the new VA seat. Lots to like about this design!

Here's the demo model from today's launch.

J-Borg and crew.

So, you see that expansive working area off to the side?

(Closer look)

Both panels open to reveal handy storage.

Looks great . I just booked two award business class seats SYD BNE LAX today (couldnt get direct ex SYD - all sold out). Unfortunately it looks like we will be flying before the upgraded seats are installed.

You sure are spoiled, especially if you compare that with what passes for first class here in the States.

This is probably more comparable to United GF.

Looks good. Nice to see plenty of storage space too. Unless QF upgrade the Skybed I can see that being my go to seat across the Pacific.

I always wonder when I see these seats "What if you are traveling with your wife/partner/boyfriend/girlfriend?" I guess if you don't like each other, being seated in a pod is great, but if you want to sit and interact during the flight, how do you do this in these seats?
