Upper Class Seating for couple on 747-400
The plane for my JFK-LHR flight was just changed to a 747-400 (seating configuration 1). Without asking, Virgin stuck us in seats nowhere near each other. The only seats left now are 18A, D, and G. Which would be more conducive to socializing- A+D or D+G?
Thanks!

The seat maps for VS are here if you do not have them already.
On the 744, the D&G seats in rows 15-18 convert in the 'double' suites (the divider comes away) and are very good for couples. None of the seats in this section face a divider, so all seats (A, D, G & K) are good for socialising and are right next to each other. Nothing wrong with these seats at all, except for being slightly close to the bar, though you shouldn't notice too much disruption as there is a screen separating you from the bar.
If you are a couple, i'd go for 18 D&G. I have sat in these seats myself with my fiancée and always choose these (or 15D&G) when flying on the 744. Otherwise, 18 A&D are fine.
Dont forget that when OLCI starts, a percentage of unallocated seats (around 40% IIRC) will open up, so you should be able to change seats on the day if you wish, either through OLCI or in person at check-in.
