Question on award pricing

I'm looking at ATL-LHR on DL metal in upper class and it's quoting 47.5k miles + USD 647.50.

Shouldn't it be 50k + USD 5.60?

I've booked several TATL flights with that pricing.

It's showing a DL flight number, so I can't figure this one out. That pricing makes sense only if it's on Virgin metal.

What am I missing please?

Delta flights to the UK annoyingly uses similar fuel surcharges to Virgin UK routes...

No wonder there's so much availability on DL.

Guess 86k DL miles to travel on Virgin is the way to approach this route.

I think you can do 50k SQ miles, but that's currently unavailable for booking?

Thanks

Amsterdam & Paris are cheaper alternatives, both are easy to get to London although the cost will eat in to your saving in taxes & then there’s the extra time travelling.
