Any advice for an Upper Virgin?

I’ve done a few long hauls in J/F, but never on Virgin Atlantic. In fact I’ve not been on one of their planes in nearly 20 years. Flying LHR - IAD next week, any tips? Unless Im missing something in the app there’s no food pre-ordering or IFE schedule.

It’s an A330-300 and I’ve booked 8 A and 8 K.

The return is a night flight. Do I get PJs?

is there any scheme that gets me free onto the WiFi (eg Boingo, iPass)?

you will be able to order amain meal when they send you an emai approx 3 days before your flight (ex Lon Only)

Yes you will get a slee suit

It's been a while but I think IFE offerrings are on the website but not the app.

Upper class is much roomier these days compared with the early 80s.

The upper deck had a 40" seat pitch

The original Upper class was basically Premium economy.

Wow — they had a lounge *and* a bar! I’m sure that wasn’t too bad on day flights. I was strictly a Y traveller then unfortunately...

Keep an eye on your spam folder - the mail for my Upper flight in November and a PE flight a couple of days ago both went into spam.
The good news is that the system worked perfectly for both flights, and I got the meals I ordered.

I was recently on a A350 from Virgin doing LHR-JFK; the wifi has a Boingo option to log in but when i tried i got an error message saying i couldn't login this way for some technical reason.

Boingo works on the 787-9, but I can't speak to the A350 - I was on one of the early flights when they were giving out free WiFi cards to everyone
