Leverage Virgin Gold to *A status

I'm currently Virgin Gold - does anyone know which *A airline would offer status match currently? Thanks!

I don't have personal experience but I've heard a lot of stories about Turkish Airlines status matches, but you need to take a flight with them within a few months to extend it for a year.

Here's one recent example talking about it below.

I don't think TK are matching VS. And it's a challenge not a straight match...

It couldn't hurt to ask - do you have any alternative suggestions?

Not many airlines match VS, and a challenge might be better than nothing.

A lot of airlines no longer just match but offer a challenge - we give you status for X months but you need to fly Y amount to be extended

they also expect you to prove that youíre a regular flyer on a particular route that they also fly.

so for example asking VS to match BA they want to see evidence that youíve flown routes that both airlines fly so e.g. LHR-JFK but not if all your flying is LHR- ORD because VS donít
