Glasgow Fleet Plans

Iím wondering what aircraft type Virgin will replace the 747 with at Glasgow?

A330s seem to be their preferred choice for regional airports.

I would assume it will be A330s as well.

The 787s are better for the longer routes (US West Coast, East Asia) and the 330s are more cost effective for the shorter routes to the East Coast (I assume that's partly the reason for the large order of A330 Neos, along with the Delta influence.)

I imagine the A350s are going to be used for the LHR routes.

I would rather have the 350 or 787 but if the neos are coming fairly soon they would be good

Don't forget some of the A350s are going to be in a high density configuration, to replace the 744s at Gatwick (which also serve the GLA routes)

The new A350 (G-VLUX) is in GLA today 19th August, presumably some sort of familiarisation.
