Reward seats for HKG-LHR
 

Hello all! I was trying to search the VS reward seats availability for HKG-LHR and finds that there are no availability after 26 Mar 2020, either in Y, PE and J. When I searched for PVG-LHR I also got the same result. To my understanding normally tickets will be released from T+330 days? Just curious is there any reason behind it? many thanks!

Easter weekend 2020 is April 10th - 13th, and as Easter is a VERY busy travel period, they may be withholding reward seats.

I remember having a very similar situation a couple of years ago. I booked by outbound to HKG without issue, but the return fell near to Easter; and no reward seats were issued for several weeks or even months, then two suddenly appeared on the exact date I wanted.

The key tips of booking reward seats are check regularly, be persistent and be as flexible as you can.

VS does not always release rewards the same time as it releases cash flights.

It may have already released an allocation but as this is a popular route and the time arounf Easter a popular time to travel they could have already been taken up.

Anyone any idea why there is no availability 15 - 27 april
either lhr-hkg or hkg-lhr ?

Damn !!

Just as a quick FYI. a number of dates that were blocked out previously around the Easter period on LHR-HKG-LHR opened up over the weekend. Managed to snag LHR-HKG in UC and HKG-LHR in PE (which is what we wanted due to available miles) for a family trip in the school hols next year.

Still seems to be some better availability now for anyone still looking.
