Award change question

Award change question

Hello! Iím trying to understand Virginís award change policy. If I change the origin and destination (flip them) can that be considered a change? Or would they force me to cancel, wait for redeposit, then rebook?

Unless you are simply changing the date on the exact same route / direction, you will always be cancelling, refunding and re-booking. However, there's no reason why your miles won't be back quickly, if not immediately.
