Upper Class Wing at LHR
We recently flew from LHR to Dubai as Gold in PE Tried to access Upper Class wing at LHR and our taxi was turned away I was told no access if in PE even as Gold only UC passengers may use Yet we flew LHR to Hong Kong the month before as Gold in PE and was allowed to use Upper Class wing no problem Does anyone know the rules on this please ? |
this page says
We welcome passengers flying Virgin Atlantic Upper Class or Delta One from London Heathrow Terminal 3 from our Upper Class Wing. The gold benefit table only says 'upper class check-in' which to me includes the Wing but maybe not. |
Drive Thru check-in is only for Upper Class/Delta One pax, it's not a gold benefit. The gold benefit is that you can enter through the door that takes you to the wing if you are in PE/Y

So are you saying you can walk up the ramp and enter the upper class wing by foot but not drive up ? |

Ok thanks for clarifying that. That is what we had to do this time checked in in main terminal 3 and went up in lift However the flight before we was let through barrier to UC wing |
There are two parts of the UC wing - the drive up part (DTCI) and the check in part and the security part
All UC and AUs can use the private security part after checking in at the desks on the ground floor and taking the lift up and then scanning their BPs The DTCI part now appears to be for UC and DeltaOne passengers only |
