Question Book PE on VS, what do I get on DL

We are planning a trip to the US with VS transatlantic changing to DL. Will be booking on VS.

If we chose to travel in premium do we get anyting better than Delta's standard economy seat?

Outbound is Delta Connetion/Compass LAS --> SAN
Return is SAN --> ATL on DL.

I'm hoping for Zone 1 boarding at least.

I'm assuming Upper Class would get us first class seats.

You get booked into Delta Comfort Plus on a PE itinerary, so you'd get Sky Priority boarding (unless you have DL status to trump that)

I find flying DL as a VS Gold is fairly underwhelming. There a massive amount of DL status passengers on almost every flight. So VS Gold is basically just another non-DL passenger as far as most are concerned.

You can also do PE long haul and F short haul. I have combined the tickets before, but by default its PE/Comfort+ and Upper/First.

Yeah, I have on a couple of occasions scored upgrades from Comfort+ to First but in general it's on quiet or obscure flights where there aren't a ton of DL elites.

Yeah, you go on the list (supposedly automatically) but behind the DL diamond & platinum (maybe even gold) members, meaning the chances are insanely low.
