VS operates from North Terminal

There are specific UC desks. If you want you can check in your bags the night before using 'twilight check in' but it's not compulsory.

Everything is very well signposted - if you are unsure just as the staff and they will give directions. There are also some useful maps on the LGW website.

There is also plenty of info on the VS website so have a look at that and then come back if you have more specific questions.

To access the Clubhouse, you must be wearing a top hat. This is not optional.

Gatwick Check in has moved from south Terminal to north Terminal since I last flew UC from there. But my experience at south terminal was that the UC bag drop in departures usually has no queue (as I think all the flights with UC from there only have 14 seats!) and the people on the desk are incredibly helpful - they will direct you through the fast lane for customs and immigration and give you the relevant sticker to access that lane, and also direct you to the UC Lounge once you have cleared passport control. I have always flown in the most comfortable clothes that I can, as the flights are long and no one bats an eyelid. Hopefully you are not paying for breakfast in the hotel you are staying in the night before as there are great breakfast options in the clubhouse (menus on the VA website). Someone in the UC Lounge will offer to polish your shoes and if you want any treatments in the salon, best book when you get there as it can get quite busy. Have a great flight!

Generally, read and research to obtain as much info as possible. The best specific advice I can give is to be calm, arrive at the airport early, no rushing. Look around, take it all in, you decide where you should check in, etc. Dress nicely, get explicit directions to the Clubhouse. I travel with a worrier and if he remembers to stop, breathe, look and listen he does quite well on his own. The Virgin UC people are super nice and helpful with things like special security areas. The Clubhouse people will be sure you leave in time to make your flight, they normally escort the UC people (at SFO the Clubhouse is outside security). The FAs are 99% wonderful and give the impression that your every wish is their command. I flew Virgin UC for the first time probably 12 years ago SFO-LHR, I didn't want to get off the plane.

Hello folks, it will also be my first time in upper class next week (finally had to give up on BA this year) and while I've read the other threads here on FT and browsed the Virgin website, I can't seem to find an answer as to whether or not pyjamas are offered? Thank you =)
