Just over 300k, all for the NRT route which they pulled literally a couple of weeks before I planned to make my first redemption... I've stopped collecting now until I can find a good value use of them that doesn't involve me making a trip purely to use the miles.

Varies between 3 and 500k depending on whether I've got redemptions booked or not. Wife has 250k backup and we're both AU. They have come from a combination of flights and MBNA/VS AMEX black.
No point keeping any more than that due to the risk of devaluation.
I've recently diversified into BAEC as VS rewards are sometimes hard to come by.

You live in the perfect place to finish off your miles for Au.
Virgin America (using your Flying Club number in the record) First Class RT SFO-LAX= 4 Tier Points 2TP/First Class Segment (short haul). Works on Delta as well, if you need more Tier Points book SFO-SEA with a stop and get 12 Tier Points (3 Tier Points (short haul)/First Class Segment X 4 Segments) for $649, such as.. April 12th up and back to Seattle same day.
