Transfer out to Hilton Honors
 

How long does this usually take? I called Flying Club this morning to make the transfer, and tonight the miles are still sitting there in my account. I realize that I may not see the Hilton points for a while, but shouldn't the miles have been deducted by now?

IIRC I had the same thing happen. When they get around to processing the Hilton transfer (weekly batches?) the miles will get deducted.

It took 11-days for my VA->Hilton transfer to complete.

Jan. 29 - Called Virgin customer service, and saw the miles immediately subtracted from my account.
Jan. 31 - Realized that Virgin had my legal name, whereas Hilton had my common name 'Tony', and quickly got Hilton CS to change my name.
Feb. 9 - The Hilton points materialized.

On both of my occasions miles shown as deducted on virgin almost immediately and appeared in HH after 7 working days.

So the norm seems to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 7 to 12 days for the transfer. Here is my timeline:

Feb 9 - Called to request transfer
Feb 10 - Miles deducted from my Virgin Atlantic account
Feb 18 - Miles deposited into Hilton account
