Really confused about lounge access at LHR

If I am VS Gold flying on Delta metal, do I have access to the Clubhouse in T3? What about the SkyTeam Lounge in T4? Thanks for any clarification.

It would help if you said which flight you were flying on as the terminal makes a difference.

But as far as the T3 clubhouse is concerned your AU status will get you in even if you are flying on DL to a t3 destination

If you are flying to Atlanta or Seattle you will get the T4 SkyTeam Lounge

Our new Partnership with Delta Air Lines means that Gold members will receive the following benefits when travelling on any Delta operated service regardless of class of travel.

[snip]

Access to any of Delta's Sky Clubs (must have a transatlantic sector to/from the UK on the same day within the itinerary)
From: http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/gb/en...edlounges.html

For other destinations you will get the VS lounge in T3.

Just checked and you'll only be flying from T3 if you are flying DL to BOS and JFK

All other DL flights leave from T4

http://www.delta.com/content/www/en_...ts/london.html

(this is the updated version as it used to include the DL flights to EWR and LAX which have been cancelled).

Also remember, that if you are connecting on arrival in the US, you can use a DL Skyclub in-between flights. This only applies to journey's in which you are connecting to a transatlantic flight.

It might be updated but it's still wrong.

Google for Delta LHR to Detroit and you'll find it goes from T3. The document I found earlier said ATL and SEA were the only ones from T4, this is clearly wrong too. I wonder if Delta have the right list anywhere on their site?

Awesome, thanks for all the responses. Good to know that at either terminal there will be lounge access

Is Delta going to move all flights over to T4 (or T3) at some point? Or will they continue to split?

Delta used to fly only to T4 and very recently built an arrival lounge in T3, so if anything they would be moving all operations to T3...

But in the past couple of years they have moved some destinations to T3 from T4 then back to T4 again.

Might be a question to post on the DL board.

I'm not sure they would want to move everything to T3 as they would lose the easy links with KL and AF and their European networks. Could happen I suppose when T2 is finished and T3 gets demolished.

Slightly similar question (and I would give the same title to my thread ).

Flying DEL-LHR-AMS, first leg VS upper class, second KL business (morning the next day). Can I get Clubhouse access on such an itinerary?

No. In DEL Virgin uses the Plaza Premium lounge. Since you land at LHR in the afternoon, you won't be able to use the arrivals lounge, nor will you have access to T3 airside. Your flight the next day to AMS will be from T4 so you'll have the Skyteam lounge there.

Arriving and departing pax are kept separate.

In any case you won't have access to the VS CH as you don't have a BP for a VS flight departing LHR that day.

So Clubhouse is only for passengers departing on Virgin? (I couldn't find info on Virgin's page who gets in.) Just to be sure - there is no arriving Virgin longhaul + local European flight combination that would give Clubhouse access?
