DL Silver and VS extra-legroom
 

Hi everyone,

I'm flying ORD-LHR-JNB-LHR-ORD in a few weeks and wanted to know whether VS offers extra-legroom seats to DL Silver members and their companions free of charge at any point, or is it the $70 per seat no matter what?

No they dont even offer them to delta gold!

Even VS Silvers don't get them for free !

Guess I've got to charm my way into a better seat. I wouldn't put any money on this actually working, but worth a shot I suppose!

$70 doesn't seem a bad price to pay for extra legroom on back to back longhaul flights.

$70 per person per segment...I'm looking at an extra $560 for the entire trip!

My 6'2" self and 5'9" fiance will probably just take the regular seats and bicker to each other about how we should've paid for the extra legroom :confused:

I would certainly recommend the extra leg room seats. I am 6'2" as well, and in the big picture, I think that is a small price to pay; given the amount of hours you are going to be sat in a Y class seat during a ORD-LHR-JNB-LHR-ORD trip. Especially for the overnight legs.

$560 is steep, but count it as brownie points parked with the future Mrs Dholitrikz. A few years from now, when you get into trouble about being cheap (which you will at some time), you will have a record online to show you are not.

At 5'11', I find the extra legroom seats make a difference.
