Thanks, how many miles did you need? Did you book one-way?

One way, two people, 188,000 total. Takes 48 hours to issue the tickets, so I'll try to update with the full amount I was charged once it hits my card.

It was $28.40 per person for fees. Just had the charge hit my Amex.

Not in Awards and Upgrades section but in Flight Availability. Type in the class T, A, or K.

For DL metal awards, does it have to be DL saver level? When searching on alaska air for example, there are LAX-LHR award seats on DL but they are 62.5k each way as opposed to 50k which I think is saver level.

Would I be able to book at 62.5k via VS?

Alaska should only have access to Saver space, so it should be.

What kind of taxes did you pay on these bookings?

Also, were you able to search for award space online beforehand? I know you can use Air France's site (as per the Wiki) but you often can't choose the partner it tries to book the award flight on so not perfect for search DL award availability.

I can't see any listings for T, A, K - but I can see D as per Colin's original post. Should I be searching for VX or another airline here?

Yes, I did search the award space on Delta.com and AF.com. Even though Delta.com showed saver level 1 seats, AF was not showing them so I solely relied on AF availability.
I had to make 3-4 calls as some of the agents couldn't even see the seats. Had to push for SLC - OAK segment as no one wanted to book it as one itinerary.

Taxes Total: $1045 for 4 passengers. I know LHR departure killed it but I got the flights I needed.

Can you no longer book one-way VX awards? The website says "No one way rewards permitted."
