Did Virgin Atlantic just change their mileage chart, or did I get lucky last week?

Last week I booked a one way econ ticket from IAD-LHR for 12.5K miles and had seen it widely blogged that NYC-LHR was the same. Today I opened up the award chart and saw both listed at 17.5. What did I miss?
