VS and US Partnership to End on 11 June 2013

After many years, VS and US will end their partnership with their respective frequent flyer programs. See:

Not surprising as 1) VS recently tied up with DL and 2)US is trying to take over AA and move to oneworld.

Leaves HA and VX as the only USA carriers that have a partnership with VS. Back in 2005, there were many, including HA, CO, US, F9 and...DL.

Sure, there was no VX back in 2005. Back then, I used to fly DL codeshare on AS metal and get miles credited to VS.

There was no open skies agreement back then also. VS was an easy way to get customers to LHR.
