'Best ever' UK credit card sign-up bonus

7,000 miles on the free card and 20,000 for the paid card.

I wrote it up on my blog today - http://headforpoints.com/2012/09/19/...t-card-review/

Hmmm... best "EVER"? No.

In July, we signed up for 30,000 miles on first spend, plus double normal miles on the actual amount. Signed up in the CH where the roaming-clipboard-weilding sales ladies patrol...

This is the best 'publicly' available sign up I have seen for the VS card.

Just wondered if anyone else had been able to take advantage of this?

I have just had my third statement for my Black Amex/Visa account and no sign of the 14,000 second bonus tranche.

Extra irritating as I spoke MBNA customer services not longer after I got the card to check I qualified for the 20,000 bonus (as it disappeared very quickly), and was told I would.

Does anyone have any advice for missing credit card bonus miles?

Thanks

MBNA is generally OK at seeing you right. Give them a call again. Offer to email them my blog link above if they deny the offer ever existed!

No joy. I was told that my application preceded the introduction of the offer by a few days.

Extra annoying, as this is what I previously checked with the customer services rep back in September (as I suggested I would cancel and reapply with the extended offer if it did not apply) and was told the offer did apply to my account.

Ill keep trying...

Amex offer a 50,000 point sign-up bonus which can be used for Flying Club.
I don't think you'll find a better one than that.
