Virgin Atlantic confirms wifi provider

Business Traveller - Virgin Atlantic confirms wifi provider

Apparently VS will initially trial the Cabin Connect service on three of the A333s in early 2013.

Using Cabin Connect now on VS 11, its bloody awful. 3 connection tiers Laptop: 50mb 24.99 gbp. Tablet: 40mb 14.99 gbp. Smartphone 30mb 14.99 gbp. No package for multiple devices so you would have to purchase connections for each wifi enabled device you want to use. Apparently currently available on only 3 planes right now, but the new 787's will all have onboard wifi.

Granted its a technological marvel to be able to connect via satellite while traveling at 37000 ft and 533 mph. But for the money the connection is as slow as molasses and spottier than a Dalmatian. I think its expensive for what you get, but I hope they will improve it and maybe make it free for gold and cheaper for silver FC.
