Earliest checkin for Las Vegas?
 

My girlfriend is currently enroute to London from Honolulu via Las Vegas. She is flying Hawaiian from HNL to LAS and then Virgin Atlantic from LAS to GTW.

She booked the flights on one booking reference, but I got a report this morning that the Hawaiian staff at HNL would only check her bags through to LAS. Since her layover in LAS is 9 hours, she was hoping to walk around the strip for most of the day but it won't be feasible with two large checked bags.

What is the likelihood that she can check her bags in around 8am for her 4pm flight? Any other options?

says that check in opens at 11am ( however it then refers to VS 8 & 24 which are LAX flights).

I would think ( not 100% sure) that at LAS check in would open about 4 hours prior to departure.

You may want to take a taxi to one of the hotel/casinos and leave the bags with bell services with a small tip and come back later and collect them before going back to the airport.
