September 11 Milage run - and you dont need to fly VS
To encourage Americans to fly on September 11, National Airlines is offering USD$1 fares on the anniversary of last year's terrorist attacks.
Last week Spirit Airlines announced it was allowing passengers to travel free on that day. All 13,000 seats were snapped up within eight hours.
Las Vegas-based National's offer has some strings attached. It is offering the dollar special on economy seats booked online only for September 11. The fare is for one- way travel and must be combined with another National Airlines fare for round-trip travel.
First class seats are on sale for the price of an upgrade fee plus USD$1.
National flies between Las Vegas and five major US cities - New York, Washington, Philadelphia, Dallas and San Francisco.
