Anyone have a promo code that would be good for travel from the DC area to LAX during the window of April 9th or 10th - April 14th? Prices are sky high, and I really need a discount to drive down the cost. Appreciate any help you can provide!

Is anyone else annoyed at emails from VX (and other airlines) that advertise fare sales, but there are so many restrictions that the fare sale is nothing you can take advantage of? Also, it's too bad that the 2 for 1 SF Giants promo coupons come with so much restrictions, that I can no longer use it.

Not sure why it is important if people ask for the code. Its not a very active thread, so there's no ongoing discussion of active codes. So again, why is it bad that people ask for it? And this is a free to join forum, what is wrong with people registering to ask for a code?

$150-off companion code
Here's a $150-off companion code. Even though it's valid, it won't work on VX's website for some reason, so they told me to call in to redeem it. Lots of fine print, but the most important parts are: 1) Must travel as a party of two on the same flights - in the Main Cabin, 2) Blackout dates and 3) Expires 3/31/15.
The code is 2D7749C2. You must call in to redeem it. If the first agent isn't helpful, try calling again. I will delete this post once someone tells me the code has actually been used, as it is one-time use.
Fine Print:
The discount code is only valid on roundtrip ticket purchases and must be redeemed at the original time of purchase. For international travel only, the discountcode can also be redeemed for $75 off a one-way companion ticket when traveling with another passenger on a paid published airfare. To use the discount, exactly 2 passengers are required and the maximum discount per booking is $150 off the base fare. The discount is a one-time use promo code. If base fare is lower than $150 value, remaining discount value will not be available for future use. 14-day advance purchase is required.
One time use promo code is valid for non-refundable Main Cabin tickets only in fare classes N, S, L, I, M, U, E, H, B, or V. Travel must occur between November 2014 and March 31, 2015. Blackout dates are: 11/21/14 through 12/1/14, 12/19/14 through 1/4/15, 1/16/15, 1/19/15, 2/13/15, 2/16/15, 3/13/15 through 3/22/15. Promo code may be used only towards newly booked travel and may not be applied to prior bookings. Promo code discount will be deducted off of base fare. Promo code may not be redeemed for cash.
