Thanks for the reply. March, April, and June of 2016 were all $70. Looks like I was lucky.

How many points do I need for NYC-HNL-PPT on Hawaiian? Would it be 80 + 50 ?

Gif Certs No Longer for Sale?

Doesn't look like gift certificates are being sold anymore. The link in the wiki is dead, no sign of it on their site map.

I signed up for the status challenge in May and they granted me gold status. I wasn't able to complete the challenge, but the status has lasted me all year for some reason, essentially making it a straight-up status match.

Would I be able to do the challenge again next year, since I'll be plat on AA?

What's the lunch meal service on VX this month? Headed SFO-ORD in about 5 days in F.

Good question, ask another.

Snarky response aside, the truth is that nobody knows. The best guess we have is that they will probably convert to Alaska miles at a 1:1 ratio, though it is possible that the ratio may be better or worse.

Would anyone like to take a guess by when should we burn VX points as I am not interested in them turning into Alaska miles.

Hi, I am Velocity Gold (Australian Virgin Airlines). I have been searching for an answer to my question in both this forum and VA. I cant find the answer.

I plan to fly VX LAX IAD or DCA return. Its cheaper to book direct with VX than go through the nightmare of doing this trip on VA's website.

Will I get access to the better seating in economy or do I have to pay for MCS etc?

I am travelling with my daughter who has no status, is she able to sit with me, if MSC etc is available to me, or is there a cost?

Do I get VX lounge access at either IAD or DCA airports?

Thanks in advance for any help offered :).

When does VX end? I've booked a July VX trip and am holding off on booking November because they're only selling refundable fares for November

in terms of shifting to all AS? That won't be until 2018. They're not all that close to getting a single operating certificate.

in terms of schedule, they tend to keep late Nov flights jacked up until after summer because of thanksgiving. Easy way to squeeze the folks trying to book their holiday travel well in advance.

End of 2017 is my guess. I don't think it will be earlier than that.

I used my 25% off main cabin coupon I got as part of being Silver. If I cancel the flight, can I use the coupon again?

hi all,
If I book MC tickets, is there a way to buy any form of premier access for TSA? I rarely fly and usually only buy paid F, but am plotting a 90 minute (SFO/SAN) flight where MC is only $79 which is $120 less than F. I can't justify buying F but do want to buy premier access for TSA if possible.
I'd probably buy F for the return due to lack of sale.
Thanks,
Michael

Pre Check is what I would consider premier access to TSA.
The only way to get Pre Check is to go to office and do interview and pay the money. This gets you shorter lines, no removing shoes or laptops from bags.No body scanner unless you "win the random lottery" for such.
First Class boarding pass is just a different line with same TSA restrictions.
Removing shoes, laptops, liquids in bags, and body scanners etc.
