A tidbit on VX from SEA
http://blogs.thenewstribune.com/busi...itive_heat_of_
"According to Farecast.com, Virgin America has grabbed 19 percent of the market share in the San Francisco-Seattle market. Alaska has more than twice that share, followed by United Airlines." |
Good job VX. Though I wonder where the market share info is from. However, something doesn't seem right. Currently AS has 6 SEA-SFO flights (according to the article) and UA has 7 (UA.com, 5/9/08). If VX has 19% and AS has 38% then UA has 43%. Or am I misreading the article?
SEA could end up being a good station for VX. Can't wait for the additional SFO flights. |
Actually, AS currently has eight flights SEA-SFO, increasing to ten in July.

No one else flies the route direct, but there's probably at least a little connecting traffic... VX+AS+UA does not have to equal 100%.
VX = 19 AS > VX * 2 :: AS > 38 VX < UA < AS :: 19 < UA < [>38] |
