VX: Interline baggage agreements planned?
Question: Will Virgin America implement interline baggage handling agreements, or is the current situation of no agreements the VX plan moving forward?
|
VX isn't going to comment on speculation, so there's not much that can be said here. I would suggest though, that you look at jetBlue as a comparison: no interline. Significant overhead comes with that, and the lower cost business model of these airlines doesn't support a premium service like that.

Does anyone have any news on this? I'm planning to do a YVR-SEA(AS), SEA-LAX(VX) but do AS and VX interline bags? Thanks for the help

No, they do not.

If you need, you could do the United Baggage service. They'll FedEx you luggage from anywhere!

They do have current interline agreements with 3 airlines. They're just not ones that get much traffic: El Al, V Australia and South African Airlines. |
