Going through security twice to access Lounge at Logan from C?

I see our upcoming VX flights are all C40-42 out of Logan, and that the lounge accessible with priority pass in the C terminal is not connected to those. Marvelous. ;)

However, if we are early enough, might we just go through security on the lounge side, and then exit and go through it for the exiled gates out at C40-42? We have pre-check but I think rumor has it they might not even run a pre-check line for those - so maybe the line is really long even for 3 gates, not sure. I am not at all familiar with BOS so if anyone has done this, please comment on how feasible it is or if it's not worth it.

There was a brief discussion of the Boston gates here:

Your plan sounds reasonable if you're able to get in the PP lounge, as the gate area is packed with maybe two carts for snack food, a single restroom, and a handful of power outlets. There is no separate pre-check for the AS/VX gates at Logan. They do stamp your boarding pass with "expedited" and have an old style metal detector there but it seems like no one in TSA knows (or cares) what the policy is and has everyone go through the standard security rules. That said, in my limited experience the line has never been too long but can still take a while to get through as they tend to move slowly.

If you end up trying this please update us on your experience. We will be back at BOS later this fall with family in tow and would like to know if TSA will accommodate.

I've done this with no real issues at BOS, just told them I was going to the lounge when they mentioned that my BP was for the C40-42 gates. TSA is more like to say something to make sure you know your flight isn't departing from the main C gate area than actually trying to stop you from accessing. Massport Red Coats were more blocking but same with them, going to the lounge, thanks!

We did do this, and TSA couldn't have cared less, very easy. It worked great, and the lounge was totally empty mid-day on Labor Day.
