Volunteered to give up overbooked flight, was promised a voucher

Yesterday, I gave up my Main Cabin Select seat on an overbooked flight when I heard they were looking for volunteers. They booked me on a later Southwest flight, and promised to email me a $400 voucher. It's been >12 hours since then, and I have not received the voucher.

Any ideas on how I can contact Virgin America about this, and/or when I should expect to get that voucher? Thanks!

In my experience, they usually get back to you in a reasonable amount of time.

Rule One of all VDB's. Never, ever, never leave the presence of the agent with whom you are dealing without all of the VDB compensation in hand. In extreme circumstances, ask the agent to make an entry in your PNR notes and print those for you.

The one time I voluntarily took another flight on Virgin, the money was deposited into my travel bank before I boarded the second flight - maybe check your travel bank?

Same thing happened to me as trufle except I gave up three consecutive flights and the last voucher wasn't deposited. I called customer service and it was deposited within 24 hours.
