Rumor? Virgin America Frequent Flier Program Tiers?
I have heard rumors VX will be making some changes within the next month or so to their Elevate program.

Yes, I don't know the exact time frame, but Elevate will soon be revamped. Elevate members have been receiving surveys in regards to what destinations they would like, what FF perks they would like, what they currently like about the program and what they dislike about the program. I am not sure what perks will be included, but I know that the program will become much more appealing for frequent travelers with us.

Why change? Is that brand new FF program or what?

I heard it will be a 3-tiered elite program similar to other carriers. I don't know if they will be revamping it so that you're awarded miles like on other carriers or if they will keep the mileage based on the airfare like they currently have.

Virgin wants MY business, they need a competative FF. Want my $25K a year in air travel, give me decent program to hang my hand on (-:

Just got word in regards to the tiered FF program. The announcement is coming July 23. Stay tuned! ;)

Seems like it will be a yearly-maintained status with a certain level of spending & involve early, free upgrades, but not to FC, additional bonus credit depending on your tier level and priority services like security screening, boarding and free baggage allowances.

I'll continue to split my travels between UA and AA this year, but next year I might give VX serious consideration again. ^ |
Not impressed by this, its nice but nothing spectacular (except for the chance for the trip on galactic)
