Are you suggesting if done at the airport it's a different price? If so how? That was not my experience this past weekend on SFO to SEA - it was still $70 via the web or at the airport Y to F UPgrade. Thanks

No, it's certainly the same as of right now. I think he's suggesting that it *used* to be cheaper at the airport.

No, actually, originally, SEA-LAX was a $50 upgrade to F, available at OLCI at T-24. This was even before the existence of MCS (back when exit row/bulkhead was just a small extra charge) in early '08. I wrote a trip report on it.

The price used to be identical to AS (but you got a lot more). Now... the price is more than double AS's, and in many cases is actually more than the fare paid for the plane trip to start with.

Right you are. I forgot about it. I had looked back at the earliest version of the FAQ, and it was from June '08, and by then it was already raised.
