Upgrade $ count toward Elevate Points?
 
Hi guys,

I'm new here, so just wanted to say hi to everyone. Been flying VA (LAX/JFK) for a while now, but have never tried to upgrade. Just wondering, does anyone know if the money you pay to upgrade go towards your Elevate points?

Unfortunately, upgrades don't count towards your Elevate points.

Can you be more specific? When did you do this, and how many points did you get? Or are you just talking about using the VX credit card?

They don't earn points, and this is really starting to grate on me because I give VX a lot of extra revenue from upgrading. It's all money spent on their product, and since their FF program is the ..... anyway the least they could do is give points for every dollar we spend on them.

Can you tell someone is starting to miss having elite status? ;)
