I have decided to leave the US for a month and go to a relatively safe country.
If the US govt starts to send out those $1000 coronavirus pandemic relief checks, how will I get them?
IRS doens't have my current bank acct info... I closed my old checking acct and switched to a different bankt after getting my tax refund last year.

This merely a proposal. There is no "1,000 relief check". Yet. Nor are there are terms or conditions. Yet.

That said, the program, let alone the terms and conditions are not yet set. And frankly if one is able to afford to leave the country, you probably will not and should not qualify.

Has it been decided that every adult gets a $1,000 payout? Regardless of income, wealth, age? I can't imagine it's that simplistic.

One of the more selfish questions I have read in the midst of a worldwide crisis where people are being asked not to travel and making sacrifices daily. I am torn between speechless and wanting to say some pretty strong language.......

If you have the means to leave the country for a month you do not need a check for relief. If you get one, why not donate it to someone that was laid off that currently lives paycheck to paycheck.

That's easy. Just handing someone money would be socialism, and we don't like socialism unless everyone's getting it.
