52 vs 28 page passport size

I'm getting ready to renew my wife and I's passports and am stuck between getting a 28 or 52 page passport. On my current passport I have 3 page sides left. So I do travel alot but not like some of you for business do. At the latter part of 10 years it possible I would run out of space and possible I might not. The most obvious answer is to get the 52 page one because its free, so why not.

There is one main reason. Size. I usually keep both our passports in my front jean pocket with by phone. It's slightly bulky but not bad at all.

I'm worried that with the 52 page passports, they will not even fit in the same pocket with my phone or it will be a very big bump. Is the size of one 52 page passport the same as if I put both our current passports side by side?

Anyone have any feedback on its size and carrying both around on vacation?

it is much better to have 52 pages since you travel a lot

As this seems to pertain to a US passport, we'll move this to the USA forum for further discussion. Thanks. /JY1024, TravelBuzz co-moderator

Get the 52-page passport. It is not that bulky.

+1

Simple as that. Unless you are bringing back the super-tight pants of the 1970s. :D
