Great thanks to all of you! :)
Because of my friend wedding I had moved everything and I am now doing this trip 27th August - 10th September, leaving Vegas probably on the 30th/31st and flying from San Francisco to LAX on 6th of September, so hopefully weather as well will be more forgiving, but still hot and nice. Actually this move probably makes sense as School holidays end on 31st of August, so hopefully all the families will go back to their life and attractions like Yosemite will be less occupied :) I forgot about it , but I got a habit to book all my holidays outside of school breaks and it makes travelling so much more enjoyable ;) |

Although 3-4th I plan to spend drinking around vineyards with 5th in San Francisco so it probably works out quite well as driving in SF probably is nightmare on a normal day. |

You are forgetting that Labor Day is Sept. 5, and it is a big holiday for travel in the U.S.
