Has anyone renewed their American passport in Guangzhou China? How long did It take? Can you expedite it?

9 days. Nice.

I did regular processing, sending it out February 1 (granted, it was wintertime) and got it back on February 28 or so. Basically, 4 weeks for regular processing in February 2014.

Mailed in my old passport about two weeks ago; paid expedited service but not overnight shipping; had the new one a week later.

Sent our passports out 5 Sep. Checks cleared 10 Sep. New passports in hand on 29 Sep. Standard service, no expedites.
