Smoking in CLT

Are there any smoking "rooms" in CLT like in ATL?
What about in bars? Or do you have to go
outside the terminal then re-clear security?
Thanks for your info.

And in case you can't make it to the sticky note

From the airport's website FAQs:

3. Smoking

Where can I smoke at the airport?

Charlotte Douglas International is a smoke- free facility. Smoking is prohibited in all public areas, which includes all restaurants and bars. The smoke-free policy does not impact airline clubs, which are considered non-public areas.

Smokers on the front curb of the terminal are encouraged to use courtesy areas on each end of Baggage Claim and Ticketing levels.

The smoking areas are marked - and the areas outside baggage claim are marked where you can't smoke.

My wife is a smoker, and when we get to CLT, she scoots outside when we're moving between concourses. TSA is so efficient that she's out and in within 10 minutes; we've never had an issue with being held up. I believe TSA knows the deal, so they hustle the smokers right back through if they saw you walk out.
