US Airways A330-300

My partner and I have just booked a flight to the US on US Airways. We have seats 9A and 9B. I've been trying to find an up to date seat map for the A330-300. There isn't one on the US Airways website and other sites show rows 6 & 7 to be Envoy Class, which is no longer the case. One website says that there is only a partial window at row 7 and concern is that, following reconfiguration of the seating, there is no actual window at row 9.

I would appreciate any information on this.

Thanks,
John

Try this...

The US Airways forum over in Miles & Points might be a better source for you. Welcome to FT, by the way.

Thanks for the welcome. Unfortunately the seat map at seatguru is out of date. Rows 6 & 7 are no longer Envoy Class

Like Seatguru, the Seatexpert site is out of date.

Unfortunately the Seatexpert and Seatguru websites are out of date. They show rows 6 & 7 as Envoy Class, but they are now Coach

I found that the seat maps for my May PHL-FCO-PHL trip have been updated with coach starting at row 6. FWIW outbound is 5/17, return 5/26.

Does anyone have any idea if the newly added rows 6+ are better seats in any way. I'm just looking for more legroom etc...

Row 9 is the 4th coach row now. But it does sit approximately where row 7 used to be, so you might have that "partial window" limitation.
PHL is online now

Unfortunately, the seatmaps on the reservations screen at US Airways don't show the location of windows. I have a feeling there isn't one at row 9

I flew on one of the 330s envoy over New Years and I could have sworn there were at least 7 rows of envoy seats, including row 1. Did I miss a thread about US pulling envoy out of the 330s and replacing them with coach as well?

With the amount of money they charge for an envoy seat, I couldn't imagine them not being profitable.

Just come across this thread.

Sometime ago I booked the following:

LGW – CLT – A333 seats 22a + 22b

PHL – LGW - A757 seats 22a + 22b.

Following this thread, I just rechecked my reservation on Orbitz, although not showing available at time of booking; the following seats are now showing available:

LGW – CLT – A330 7a + 7b

PHL – LGW – 757 8A + 8b

Am I OK to change from my original seats 22a + b to those showing available?

Out 9a +9b

Return 8a + 8b

I’m somewhat confused looking at the seat configuration on Orbitz, as it shows:

Out:

7a + 7b Coach available
8a + 8b as premium seats.
Coach 9a 9b 10a 10b
11b premium,
Coach 12a 12b through to 23a + 23b
24a _ 24b as premium
Coach 25a 25b through 38a + 38b.

I just flew across the pond on Thursday (and going back today) in Row 8. I believe row 9 has a window, but 10 does not. 6 is the bulkhead. I will check again today.

The seats are the same as any other in coach. In fact, I was surprised that mine in row 8 wasn't new - it had the same level of dirt and grime as any other seat - so obviously it came from some other aircraft or they replaced other seats in the back and brought some old seats forward. Didn't measure the pitch...seemed a little more cramped than I remember.
