I'm testing the waters on LH and AA next week (my clients will not fly Envoy and pay a full C fare). Oddly, Envoy used to be my European clients' choice (even over their own flag carriers). Unfortunately, it seems to have been relegated to an upgrade cabin, with the food, cleanliness, etc., reflecting that status.
BTW, FC was not full on 6 flights I took in September. Again, the FF's just aren't there .

Bumping back up to see what loads are like. Even before the meltdown. Mine up until recently have been really light.

Full flights
Every flight on US that I have taken since Jan '06 has been completely full (at least that's what the FAs announce as we're boarding) except a PHL-LGW flight last March. The return from London was full. That includes transcons, transatlantics and short hauls - about 16 flights, 20 segments. Using UA miles last year to Montana, again, full flights from PHL on all 4 segments.
Upgrades not so good, about 30%.

PIT-LGA remains healthy, probably because it's nearly free.

This is what is amazing my RIC to PHL or CLT flights are about 90% full on RJ's and near 100% on mainline jets.
The only flight I was on this past year that wasn't pretty much full was CLT to PBI in which there was like 12 people on the A319.
All the bad mouthing we are doing if the jets are full then they must be doing something right after all.

Other than a late night flight from PHX-DEN a couple of days ago, I don't think I've seen an empty seat on any flight I've taken in the past 6 months. Amazing.

Plus the PBI market is catered towards the F/A/Y/B Fare customers and the tonnage of elites...its a cutthroat market at PBI

On Mondays and Fridays as of late these flights (774/773) are only about 60% full (I fly this route every other week). This makes it very nice for passengers (had the whole of the center section of row 8 to myself last night) and slept most of the way fully stretched out. Normally there is always an empty seat or two next to my hand-picked aisle-center section seat.
My fear is that they will bring back the 767 on this route as they had in Jan/Feb of this year without the on-demand IFE system.
