using US Miles on *A and OW

Hi All

I can't seem to find on website whether this is possible:

one way on *A (i.e. Air China) and return on OW (i.e. Qantas).

Do award bookings allow this or do both have to be on the same alliance since they're on difference charts?

Thanks in advance!!!

US air is no longer part of *A. However, it is partners with some carriers who are part of *A like Air China, Turkish, etc.
You could make a booking with OW carriers or just 'other partner airlines', can't combine them both in an award.

hey there,

what u say is def. right. My question regarding this issue: Can i mix several partner airlines in one booking?

ex: SA + TK

or is it only possible to use a single airline in one booking (ex only SA flights)? Would be be an option if *A Airlines could still be combined in one award.

Cheers

i think you can mix partner airlines only for one award like Air China, Turkish, Jet airways, South African, etc. which does not include any OW members.
Correct me if i am wrong.

I'd like to know that too, as I just did a booking before the changeover using TG, SA and CA....

Wonder if you can use SA and CA on the same award now?
