Oh the pain..... (of earning highter status)

I've already made Silver this year (and no it wasn't via one long overseas trip)...... I begin to think that CP is less of an elite status and more of an indicator of pain and suffering

I recommend CDZ on 332/3. You can also do AFP on SQ or OZ - that's even better.

I feel like a bit of a slacker - only 15.5K domestic BIS in January.

Not 100% on topic, but I fly BDA-RDU-BDA. I can easily make it 2 segments or 3, always stop in PHL but CLT is optional. I can make gold easily, but I've pretty much decided that it's not worth the extra time (arrive RDU 8PM instead of 11:30 on Fridays and leave 7AM instead of 5:30AM on Monday) to make Plat. It's not totally about the time, it's also about misconnects and IRROPS. Especially after a week ago Friday when I got stuck in DCA and had to rent a car and drive to RDU.

On that topic, once I realized I was in line with a bunch of other people flying to RDU, and that they were rebooking for 3PM the next day, I just shouted "Anybody want to rent a car and drive to RDU?" I got two takers and we got there around 3:30AM.

Only 17264 domestic BIS US Metal in January. And that felt like a lot...

My first moments of feeling like a "real" frequent flyer came this month though:

Had the same flight attendant up in F twice in January. I totally recognized him, and I think he remembered me too but I didn't bring it up.

I made silver already as well. A couple of long haul flights allowed me to do it in 11 segments (plus a couple of OW segs).
I am beggining to pray that I end the year as silver (and keep my job).

14 segments and 15700 mi booked for the next 10 days, all within the US/Canada including 4 transcons/near-transcons. (LAX-PHL, BWI-PHX, SAN-DCA, CLE-LAX) Just started a Silver trial, so if I keep this up getting CP through the challenge will be a breeze... but I'm sure my back wouldn't agree, especially because in years past I got most of my miles by flying international C.

4527 mi, 4 segments in January.

My goal every year is to NOT make Gold.... sadly, I usually do.

I have this thing called "home life", that I enjoy much, much more than an F seat and a PDB.

I would be more than happy to take over the assignments that require you to travel. Just PM me about becoming employed at your enterprise.

There are surprisingly few references to the XOXO bars on the internet. Most of the hits are actually here (and the legacy US forum).

From what little I can find, the manufacturer quit making them around 2006.

Here's one from 2003
