Icelandair/US Airways trip: Icelandair FC ticket counter use?
For my relative (who has been the source of all of my recent barrage of questions), the relative has an upcoming trip back from Iceland (KEF) to the USA. The relative bought 1 ticket on Orbitz covering the whole trip. There are two flights: the first is on Icelandair in coach from KEF to the USA, and the second is a connection, on US Airways in FC. Icelandair has no partner status with US, as far as I know.
Each airline/flight has its own separate confirmation code, but both flights show up when I look up either flight on either airline's website. Specifically, the Icelandair website shows the whole itinerary and classes of service: coach on Icelandair, and FC on US Airways.
Since the Icelandair website shows a portion of the trip in FC, is there any basis at all for trying to check in at the Icelandair FC ticket counter?
I wouldn't have the nerve to do this, but perhaps I'm being overcautious.
Thanks.

I doubt you are entitled to use the priority check-in, but I don't have any specific knowledge.
I wouldn't bother trying. It is unlikely that it will save you that much time, and is probably not worth the risk of delay, embarrassment or just having to explain yourself to the agent
