I bought miles in the past using my US credit card and got double points for the credit card purchase. This time...not! It posted as follows:
Trans Date Post Date Description Purchases Points Earned
02/09/12 02/09/12 POINTS US AIR MILES 940.62 941.00
Is this something new?

Nope. It's happened to me each time I pulled the trigger (3x since 2010) on these deals. Always came up as "POINTS."

I absolutely know that I got double miles in May2010 when I did this.
[again I am referencing the miles associated with card usage - not the actual purchased miles.]

Single miles. It was just like any other non-US transaction.

It's 50% off, not 100% bonus. At any rate, do you have the card? If not, then the option to buy at 50% off won't be available.
Then, if you do have the card, I suspect the system will reject the transaction and tell you that you must pay full price if you use a different card. I can't confirm this since it's a points.com transaction but assume so since the system does know whether you have a US Airways credit card.

I have the World MC and tried to purchase 15k miles just now to top off my account. But the discount is not showing up even until the very last step (shows the full cost, ~$560). Is this happening to anyone?

It is wrong. It should show the discounted price after you plug in your account details.

Discount not displaying on subsequent page(s).
I am experiencing the same problem. No display of 50% discount on any page of transaction. Yes, I am using the US Airways World MC card. I am hesitant to click final button on this purchase without confirmation that system is operating properly. Anyone tried this lately???

Finally got the problem resolved. Don't call Dividend Miles, call technical support. Apparently someone has to "activate" your discount. Not all technical support reps know how to do this so you might have to call more than once...
