Thank you for this thread. Particularly about the part where Avis has been poor in posting the bonus miles. I just got my bonus miles (2x3000=6000) posted associated with two past rentals. All it took was an email and my rental numbers as proof.

I have had no problem with the 3k miles posting automatically and within a week of the end of the rentals. I can't tell you why others have had an issue but I've had none.

A couple of days ago I just got some 3,000 posts from transactions in April and May. Better later than never...

I think Avis's partner promo computer/office got pretty jammed in the last few months -- the simultaneous US, AA, Carlson big ones, in addition to whatever the usual noise is.

Unless someone has details of what U.S. Air did with this sort of promo, during prior years, it's going to be a very long game.
The T&C state that the bonus miles (note: not the bonus for the rental that you might get, e.g. the 3K in the case noted above), but the 25,50,75,100% bonuses will only post in March of 2013. |
Yeah. I have 7 Avis rentals outstanding at this point. 6 of them qualify for the 3k bonus. Who knows when they will post.
