I had a rental 2.5 weeks ago where 3160 miles posted on the recepit (in PHL) and only 160 posted to my USairways account. I contact Avis customer service about a week ago and after first tyring to send me to USAirways, they agreed to look at internally. After a repsonse promised in 2-3, no word from avis and no miles posted. Its a great offer, I would use it over and over again through end of year, but not if the miles wont post.

One week later and no follow-up email. No additional miles posted. Even if Avis comes back and says they still have the deal US is under no obligation to honor the bonus miles. I think this deal is over.
I'm a Marriott guy so the Carlson deal does nothing for me. Looks like I gotta find another vendor for cars.

Besides, it is always good to diversify into multiple hotel programs.

I am soooo frustrated by this .....
I am missing almost 10k miles and not sure who is to blame: AVIS or US Airways.
Like others my avis receipt shows the bonus miles, but they never post which leads me to believe US isn't releasing them.

I had 3,000 miles post yesterday 7/4/2012. I believe it was from when I asked avis to re-submit to usairways. They only owe me 7 more bonuses now

Just talked to Avis who was very non-chalant about it. They said they sent the smaller amount over the day the rental closed and then 3,000 miles on 5/6. So, I do wonder if US is holding them....

FYI I contacted avis (through their online system) gave them my usairways number and my rental information and they were gonna post my mileage to my account. I made my avis reservations without the avis code (I contacted avis after the rental was over with and asked to get points)
