CP Best routes for an upgrade
flying BOS or PVD to LAX
Which routes have the best changes for CP- upgrade ( I bought up from PP to CP for 2011, so I am last of the CPs in the upgrade list.)
CLT-LAX
PHL-LAX
BOS-PHX
what about BOS-LAS? Might make a stop there alone the way

I have flown PHL-LAX 6 times in the last 3 months as a CP. One upgrade. Twice CLT-LAX. Two upgrades. Seems to be a lot of paid F on that PHL-LAX route.

Which days of the week?
I was upgraded DCA-PHX as a Gold on a Wednesday. That never would have happened on a Monday or Friday.

I don't know my schedule yet, but I'd imagine fly out on Sun/Mon return Wed/Thur

Wonder if there is a correlation between available F seats and upgrades. 1 out of 6 as a CP is pretty bad. I'd bet that CLT-LAX probably has slightly better odds. I can't say why, but thats my hunch? Perhaps fewer award passengers out of the Northeast?

LAX is tough to upgrade to. BOS-LAS should be an easy upgrade as a CP. Similarly LAS-LAX is easy as long as you're not on an RJ.
Going to LAS next week - the PHL-LAS flight that i'm on is pretty full (3 F seats left) - but the BOS flight is wide open.
