DS0087 Upgrade if using travel Voucher
 
I would like to use up a travel voucher I have from US airways but have been told that if I use it I won't be able to use the DB0087 upgrade vouchers for any paid tickets.

The terms do say it can't be used with Travel Credits/Vouchers.

Has anyone got any experience of trying to use a DS0087 voucher on a ticket where they have used a travel credit to cover part of the cost.

Otherwise I either lose the vouchers or the upgrade and given the upgrades might not happen I am loathed not to use the $150 cert but equally not looking forward to back of the plane if the rule is well enforced?

Experiences appreciated.

In my experience, if the voucher has a cash value the ticket would be handled as if you paid cash. However, vouchers for free RT's(with no cash value) are treated like award tickets and thus can not be upgraded.

If I am mistaken, Im sure someone will correct me.
