USAIRWAYS EXPIRED DRINK PASSES
Hello!
I have expired movie/drink passes from 6/30/97. Will UsAirways still take these? I know some other airlines will take expired passes but these are really expired! I dont even know if the look of them has changed. Mine are white with navy blue writing and are almost the size of a $1 USD.
As you can tell I have not been on a UsAirways flight in quite some time since moving to the west coast. Are movies free now from SEA-PHL-BOS? Any info would be great.
Also, is it worth it to buy the "meals for puchase food" from SEA-PHL or should I bring my own stuff. Does the stuff actually taste good? Thanks in advance!

Hi JENNIEB; welcome!
I had an expired drink coupon "OK"d by a gate agent. She'd given me the coupon (don't remember why), and I noticed right away that it had recently expired. No problem, she slid it across the counter, wrote "OK xyz BOS" (where xyz were her initials [long forgotten] and BOS was the station). I used the coupon within a couple of months, and the FA didn't give it a second look. ...Of course, yours are really expired! (Good luck )

Actually, they will be collector's items because when US Air goes out of business they will have value being so "rare".
Note, it's not if they go out of business, it's just a matter of when.
I am sad to say this but it's just like Eastern, TWA and PanAm.

On the drink coupons, I doubt that an F/A would care that they are expired, even if s/he noticed. (They do say "US Airways" rather than "USAir", I assume).
On the "In Flite Cafe" meals for purchase, the Wolfgang Puck lunch/dinners are quite good, even if his forced viewimg commercial is annoying (see related thread). The salad is, IMHO, better than the sandwich. For $10.00, it's about what you would spend at an airport eatery for the same amount of food. Not that that makes it a bargain.

No my flight/drink coupon says USAIR on it. That is how old it is. I wanted to let you know on my flight the flight attendant did take my old USAIR flight coupon. She did look at it for a while and said I have not seen this one in a long time. So it worked out.
The food they served though was just ok. They did not have enough. Lots of people where interested in buying sandwiches though.

Believe it or not, I've actually seen (and taken) a few Piedmont Airlines drink coupons in the last couple of years. Heck, I don't care where they came from! I figure they were either bought or earned originally so they're still valid in my eyes.
