Who is new Prince of Pain--King of GOM?

Now that the year has ended, inquiring minds want to know who is the new Prince of Pain? Who has been relegated to those Dash 8s and RJs?

Who is the King or Queen of GOM or regular flying in Envoy every week? I know some of you have already qualified for CP until 2010.

I ended up with 98 actual segments (first time below 100 since 1999) and @112,000 miles for a 1142 ratio.

I ended with 68,772, 30 Segments.

No Prince of Pain here.

58,459 miles on 61 segments.

Mostly Northeast & Midwest trips.

On the face of it 248,000 tier miles miles, 170 segments, 1,458.82 miles/seg... Various adjustments for carryover miles & double tier miles promotions (most of which were pre-GOM) would probably bring that down to 150k "core" tier miles for a ratio more like 800 miles/segment.

I finished with around 105K tier miles and 68 segments. However, this was impacted by the triple tier miles offered for Shuttle travel.

I was the last Prince of Pain with a ratio of .5641 or some such thing. Thanks to GOM I ended up with 112,000 Mi and 118 segs. for a ratio of .9192, a dramatic improvement which should cost me my title. I have switched to UA and may not see as many segments or miles this year due to the direct BDL-IAD flights. Long Live the Prince of Pain.

153,XXX tier miles on 57 segments or 2700 miles per segment. A lot of PHL-SFO, a little Europe and OK maybe I got out a bit. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

150,648 status miles on 49 segments. I GOM a few times for transcons. Almost all were leisure travel.

However, I didn't budge out of the banana tree for the last two months of the year. Just too much hassle traveling.

141,507 preferred miles with 52 segments. I got out a little to Denver, Las Vegas, and London. This comes out to 2721 miles per segment. It was, indeed, a good year.

130K on 96 segments.....looking for big things this year with the UA codeshare. Got flights to Sao Paolo and Seoul booked already which will add 25K tier miles alone to my USDM'03 total.

safetymom Jan 3, 2003 11:09 am

I had 73,042 and 36 segments. I got GOM a few times. 2028 per segment.

My long flights were on other airlines. I had no choice that was what the company booked.

Well (he said smugly), I spent the year mostly grounded until October. Wound up with 28 segments, maybe 30K miles, and CP! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/tongue.gif

Thanks to the gurus on FT. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Also made HH Diamond, so I'm sitting rather pretty for the coming year. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

So far, I'm in the running with 52277 preferred miles on 60 segments (and need I mention LOTS of segments way under the 500 mile minimums: RDU-CLT, RDU-DCA, CLT-ATL, etc.).

Storm1n Jan 3, 2003 1:02 pm

How about ~146k miles and 36 segments?

Right around 4,056 miles per.
